SSS has been a government contractor for over 25 years. The Federal government has both prime contracting and subcontracting goals for small businesses. More specifically, the Small Business Act requires 23% of Federal prime contracts dollars shall be awarded to small businesses, with individual prime and subcontracting goals for certain identified small business groups. Contracting with SSS helps federal, state, and local agencies meet their small business goals in the following areas:

Federal Programs:

EDWOSB, WOSBSSS is proudly a woman-owned small business, certified by the SBA as an Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business. The WOSB Program is a program that authorizes contracting officers to restrict competition (or set aside) certain requirements for competition solely amongst women-owned small businesses (WOSBs) or economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSBs). SSS is a minority-owned small business and certified by the SBA as a Small Disadvantaged Business. SSS graduated from the 8(a) Small Business Program in 2012. DBE DOTDThe U.S. Department of Transportation’s DBE program provides a vehicle for increasing the participation by minority-owned businesses in state and local procurement. DOT DBE regulations require state and local transportation agencies that receive DOT financial assistance, to establish goals for the participation of DBEs. SSS was certified by the LADOTD. State Programs:

Louisiana’s Hudson Initiative is a certification program that is designed to help eligible Louisiana small businesses gain greater access to purchasing and contracting opportunities that are available at the State government level. The program is open to all Louisiana businesses that meet the eligibility requirements of a Small Entrepreneurship (SE) under the Hudson Initiative.Hudson Inititative - LA
SEBD - LASSS participates in the Small and Emerging Business Development program in the state of Louisiana. The SEBD Program provides the managerial and technical assistance training needed to grow and sustain a small business. Procurement officials on the State and Local levels will consider an SEBD business for bidding on select products or services purchased by state agencies.
